Xikar Xi1 Cigar Cutter Titanium

XI1 Cutter, Titanium
Titanium Colored Aluminum Body HRC55 Stainless Steel Blade in a Spring-Loaded Ergonomic Shap

I wanted something better than the $4 cutter found at every tobacco store and gas station because they kept crushing my cigars rather than cutting them. I'm only an occasional (about 1 a month) cigar smoker so it didn't make sense for me to buy a $100 cigar cutter but this one was a good price and the quality has been excellent. I got the Titanium one and I really like the solid feel, it keeps the blades very close to eachother as they slide in which is critical in getting a smooth cut without pinching the cigar. I learned to twist the cigar as the blades made contact with it when I was using the cheap cutters and I continue to do this with the Xikar although it is plenty sharp and it isn't necessary it has simply become a habit.

Like any good, quality item I recommend maintaining it for the best longevity, the best way to do this is to keep the blade clear of any debris. It also travels well as the built in locking mechanism keeps it closed at all times and it fits in a pocket watch sized pocket in slacks and jeans. I would recommend this cutter to anyone who appreciates good cigars and is tired of ruining them with a poorly built, dull cutter.

I bought my cutter few years ago. Worked flawlessly until it locked up and wouldn't open anymore. So I sent it back to Xikar. After a month, I wondered where my cutter was. Took me a week to get in touch with someone at the office, but finally determined that USPS sent it back to KC. They overnighted the cutter back to me after confirming my address. When I got my replacement cutter, it also had issues. I sent it back...after another month, and many posts on their FB page. I finally got it back. Except this time they sent me a silver and not a titanium. Don't really care actually, just glad I finally got a working cutter. While all this was going on, I got tired of using my punch so I bought a $16 Cuban Crafters cutter. My only regret with that is, I wish I bought one sooner. Their policy also states that you will get your return within a week.

In short, if u don't mind that slow customer service at Xikar, then get their cutter. But IMO, their cutters are overpriced and the customer service has a lot of room for improvement. My score would have been higher if it weren't for the CS and having to return my replacement.

Tommy Bahama 3 Piece Men's Cigar Cologne Gift Set

Set Sail St. Barts, Signature, Set sail Martinique Size: .5 fL.oz 15 mL.
best cigar with best box and best for gift.

I ordered this for my friend and thought ....maybe it will be used or not in good shape. Was I wrong....he loved it and I actually ordered another one for my boyfriend the very next week.

Fast shipping. Decent price. But the box looked like it was maybe a display box. Had several nicks/ scratches. Doesn't look very presentable. Disappointed in looks. I kept it but instead of displaying it on my dresser it resides in a bathroom drawer. Disappointing!

I have a handful of $1-2 cutters which should just be burned and have a nice Xikar cutter which costs several times what this cutter costs and which I use only at home because I am afraid to take it out with me and lose it.

Enter the cuban crafters cutter... I had heard it was nice, and for 13 bucks, why not try it. At worst, I'm out the price of a nice cigar, and at best, I now have a new traveling cutter.

I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised when I got the cutter in the mail. The packaging for the cutter alone was nicely done. The cutter itself is very solid and has a good weight to it, feels like it can withstand some heavy usage.

The cutter has a back to it to prevent people from cutting too much off the cigar. For those with torpedoes, it has a small hole to give more space to handle the torpedo tip. I found that I needed to cut a torpedo twice in order to get the desired cut to the cigar. While slightly annoying to have to cut twice, the quality of the cut won me over... crisp, clean and smooth.

In summary, want a superb cigar cutter that costs a fraction of the other popular cutters? Want a cutter with solid build and superb clean cuts? And lastly, want a cutter you won't bang your head against a wall if you leave at a bar or party?

.... then this is your cutter.

Great device for when you get interrupted while enjoying your favorite cigar. Recently, when visiting my in laws, I decided to step out for a cigar. Of course half way through my 1926 Padron my wife and her mother had come home and were ready to head out to dinner. Grumbling about my bad timing, I had a few more puffs then gave a nice exhale through the cigar(to clear out smoke within the tobacco)and slipped it into the cigar saver. Later that evening I was able to spark my cigar back up. I was happy to be able to finish my cigar, it was like I had only stepped away from it for a few min.
I am a regular cigar smoker, so this item is a very necessary accessory. I can be interrupted while enjoying my favorite smoke and keep the rest for later. The cigar saver works well, but the top of the unit seems to be made of a very flimsy plastic. I don't think the hinge will last long. When I saw the description I assumed the unit was made of a heavy plastic or metal. It's made of plastic, but not as heavy as it looks. The lid and lid hinge is made of a very flimsy plastic, that gives very easily if pushed on. It is OK for the price. If you want a premium unit pay the premium price.

I am writing this approximately 20 minutes after opening the package. Overall, I am very satisfied with the scents and product. I am not an expert in cologne, but here's how I perceive the four fragrances:

In order of best to worst (though none of them were terrible):

1. BLUE - Similar to a common, standard, and reliable scent that you'd find at Macy's. In other words, as soon as I smelled it, I felt that I had smelled it before. That's not a bad thing in my opinion since a cologne represents you and you want to avoid really off-the-path scents. Even though the scent was common, it works.

2. (TIE) ORANGE and GOLD - GOLD is also Macy's-ish but a little more unique. I'd say it has a slightly "heavier" scent (hard to explain) and it also reminds me of a food scent I can't seem to place.

ORANGE - is more light, citrus-y, and has some other tone that I just can't place. It is probably the most uni-sex scent of the bunch. It's more unique than GOLD or BLUE and I keep finding myself going back to smell it.

3. RED - I'd place this one last, but not because it's bad. It's just strong and musty. My first impression was that I didn't like it, but after a few more goes, I determined it's something I would wear (just not as often as the other three). I see this one as a riskier play; a more polarizing fragrance.

Lastly, one of the spays (GOLD) wouldn't spray at first. I had to keep pressing it, but all that would come out where heavy drop of the cologne. I actually gave up, but when I went back to it later to make a better tester, it started working. All four sprays have a look of high quality (stickers and caps) and come in nice glass shaped cigars.

I will update this after my wife smells them (I won't tell her I'm testing them).
