How to Optimize Links in Blogger?
This is the last part of our series on Blogger SEO PACK 2012 series and it will help to remove great misconceptions and wrong seo concepts that are unfortunately spreading like fire everywhere. As Google, Bing and Yahoo continues to make search experience more trustworthy and neat and clean by removing all spammy and non-trusty sites, SEO has become the most famous name for webmasters.
Since blogging is mostly about publishing fresh links to these search engines therefore it is important that you must equip your links with proper rel link attributes. Blogger is pretty different when it comes to labels. In wordpress we have categories and then sub categories that are called tags. Tags were introduced in wordpress so that pages could be provided a much deep navigation. However we don't have sub categories in blogger, what we have are called Labels. These labels in SEO terms can be called simply Tags. You attach tags to your posts to categorize posts. Don't confuse your selves with categories, labels and tags, they are all considered the same by search engines and can be described as category links.
To understand which sites you should link and which to avoid, please read:
When should you Tag external links as nofollow?
Nofollow links like DEMO, Download and Iframe Pages
But what about internal links? Can links on your blog effect your Blog indexing and Search ranking? Of Course!
All pages inside your blog are treated as separate web pages when it comes to PageRank juice flow. Archives like labels and comment links can badly produce crawl errors and makes the job difficult for search spiders to crawl your blog content/data. To make spider job easy you must act like a Traffic police by directing crawlers what to index, crawl and flow PR juice to. This is our aim of this tutorial and we will be turning your free blogger blogs into highly optimized webpages. But first lets learn some basics and wrong concepts shared widely these days.
<a href='http://wikandatu.blogspot.com'>link</a>
This is a naked link with no link attributes. To optimize this link in order to tell search engines how much value should be given to the link you shared, most webmasters are using pretty strange ways.
rel="nofollow"
For telling robots that though you are linking a webpage but you don't trust it or recommend it as a quality publishing website.
rel="external nofollow"
This has exact similar meaning as that of nofollow attribute but the word external tells robot that the linking is pointing outwards. In most SEO forums, its also discussed that it has the same effect as that of target="_blank". Target blank is an HTML attribute that opens a link in new window and external nofollow does the same. But this is not true because if you click any comment link on this blog or any other wordpress blog using "external nofollow", you will observe that the link opens in the same tab. What I understand is that the difference between nofollow and "external nofollow" is that they both have the same effect but "external nofollow" is a better approach to use when the link is pointing out-words i.e Should be added to outgoing links you don't trust.

How important are links?
Search engine optimization revolves around optimizing mainly links. Your SERP ranking which is your ranking search engine results Page is depends largely on your meta tags, incoming and outgoing links. Links are hyperlinks that takes visitor from one page to another or from one section of your blog to another. Search Engine automatic programs called crawlers or spiders give great importance to links in any page. Your Page Rank juice flows in and out depending on how well are you linking. If you are linking to poor, low quality sites then on next PageRank update is that your PageRank would badly suffer. PageRank is responsible for telling Google how important your blog is and how faster it should be crawled and given importance. Your PageRank surely improves when others link-back(recommend) to you but you can loose the same PageRank by linking to low quality sites or sites that does not belong to your niche (blog topic). To understand which sites you should link and which to avoid, please read:

Submit Your Blogger to Yahoo & Bing
Sitemap submission to Yahoo was previously done using Yahoo Site Explorer but just last year on 21 Nov 2011 Yahoo completed algorithmic transition to Bing. Yahoo merged site explorer into Bing Webmaster Tools with a partnership contract. From then onwards webmasters were requested to submit sitemaps to Bing in order to expect quality traffic from both yahoo and Bing.
Site Explorer was launched in 2005 by Tim Mayer and it was a pretty handy tool to keep a close watch on how your site was performing at yahoo search engine. You could get detailed info on how many sites were linking you and could also count the total number of internal links within your site. But since now Yahoo has joined hands with Bing search engine by Microsoft, our job becomes even more easy, because submitting your blog at Bing will set it live at two search engines, i.e. both Bing and yahoo. Previously MSN did not required sitemap and you only needed to submit your link to them by pinging them but with the replacement of MSN search engine by latest BING, Microsoft is now openly following Google's footsteps.

yourself on what is your goal in blogging? Some say for money, some say
for hobby, while some say for fame. But no matter what's the reason for
setting up a blog there should always be a goal for setting it up. In
this post, we'll discuss things that makes your blogging career has a
sense of direction,
Set a Constant Goal
When we say constant it means fixed. In order to achieve something,
you need to have a fixed goal. You don't need to change everytime.
Changing of goals will just get you back to the beginning again and
again. Also keep in mind that when you think your goal is not with the
flow of the latest. All you need to do is to continue what you've
started. With this i'm sure that you can easily achieve your goals
because you are on a fixed road to the fixed finish line.

Search more and more content to make your blog more attractive and
filled. Improve it's quality, tead more books, blogs and try to improve
what you think needs an improvement. Market your blog or invite
more readers through social medias, make them believe that your blog is
worth reading for. be an active blogger by participating discussions on
blogs worth reading, this will help not only for gaining visitors but
for gaining some profile on the blogosphere. You can also pay for an
advertisement or perhaps manage a blogging contest. Maximizing every
possible possibilities will direct you to a more achievable goal.

this satisfaction they will not really maintain their support to a blog.
Bloggers and readers are the same. All people have similarities and
these similarities will be your key in making your readers believe in
your ability.
One way also of connecting to your readers is by connecting with them
through talking with them. One big mistake is being not able to connect
with readers.

Some Wrong Ideas About SEO
Search
engine optimization is one of the main factors of making your blog
profitable. For years, millions of people tried to make their site
optimized for search engines and hope for the best. But sadly, only a
very few of these people really succeeded on making their site SEO worth
it.
You
might be wondering why and how right? Well, the main reason for a lot
of people to fail in making their site productive is that they have
fallen into SEO misconceptions and myths, and that's what I'll talk
about in this post.
-Being on the first page of Google means I was successful on search engine optimizing my site.
Absolutely
no! For some it could be yes, but if you hit first page on Google on a
keyword that people don't even used to search your site for, then it is
totally useless.
-My site is losing traffic, Google must be penalizing it.
Nope.
Well, Google do penalize site for some heavy and valid reasons (like
scam sites, pornography, etc.). But most of the time, your site is
losing traffic because of your misled in constantly optimizing and
updating your site's content.
-If a lot of traffic flow into my site, It would mean that I will make huge profit.
Well,
think again! Having a lot of traffic flow on your site does not
guarantee any profit especially if the traffic you get was
un-targeted or you don't have a call to action on your site for the
potential customer to take to. Remember, it's the amount of targeted
traffic that counts!
-Any incoming links are productive and beneficial.
Not
really! Search engine only accounts valid and not fraudulent incoming
links. They only record incoming links from reputed sites (sites with
pagerank) that has no record of penalty before.
-Parked domains that have been inactive for years have greater value than new ones.
Could
be true, but it does not help you with search engines. It's a long myth
that most people thought inactive domain names are profitable or easy
to rank, but the fact is that search engine gives no credit at all to
"inactive or parked" domain names, they only give credit to those with
real contents.
And
that's it folks! some wrong ideas that was previously thought on search
engine optimization. Try not to fall into one of these and make your
way to the search engine's first page.

- Product Dimensions: 2 x 2 x 2 inches
- Shipping Weight: 2.4 ounces (View shipping rates and policies)
- Shipping: This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S.
- Origin: China
This item is nice for desktop humidors because you don't have to add the distilled water / alcohol mix to the conventional ones. You just take the cap off, drop it in there and add water once the beads get below the line. Too easy. The problem I have had with them is that if you live in a dry climate they will only bring humidity levels to about 40%. I would recommend going with two of them instead of just one.
I live in dry-as-a-bone Colorado, so I need to keep a lot of moisture in my humidor. I use two of these in a 50 cigar box and they keep it steady at 70% for about 2 weeks before they need a refill. I'm happy with that!
